I created the ARABIC TEXTS series of acrylic paintings in 2023, when I was 94 years old. The series was part of several recent series of painting in which I tried to convey the chaotic world situation through largely illegible texts. In each of the paintings in the present series, I used complementary colors to convey the conflict in the Arab world between Shia and Sunni, with each side proclaiming that its God is the true God. One of the texts in this painting says ALLAH (God) and the other says ALLAH AKBAR (God is great). I employed the ancient art of stenciling to create these paintings, using two stencils for each painting.
